Al
grew up fishing the Apalachicola River and playing on the shores
of St. George Island. After traveling the globe during a
twenty-year career as a Marine Corps aviator, Al returned to the
only place he could ever call home.
(Pictured
right is Al receiving his 20-year retirement plaque)
He
and his wife, Serena, have lovingly restored an old
Victorian home featured on the Annual
Tour of Historic Homes and can share a lot of knowledge
about the history and architecture of the area, not to mention a
few restoration tips.

Al’s
passion for protecting the Forgotten Coast keeps him active in
civic projects and events. He is currently dedicated to the
preservation of the Apalachicola
Municipal Airport. From Historic Apalachicola to the
Plantation on St. George Island, Al knows Franklin & Gulf
Counties like only a native could.
